Craig Willi'a.msoiit', Ltd., a large drapery emporium trading in Elizabeth Street, Melbourne, for 63 years, will close its business on Thursday. I’he business hat’ been in the hands of receivers for some time. The premises were offered at auction last week, but the highest bid v'as £335,000 below the reserve. Tenders were called tor the purchase of the stock and the book debts were opened to-day, when it was announced that Anthony Hordern, Sydney, had purchased the' stock, and Ball and Welch's, Melbourne, had bought the book debts. The advertised value of the stock was £131,022, and of the book debts £56,746.

Most of the staff are being absorb ed by other Melbourne firms.
