UNREST IN WORKSHOP.
Otahuhu Boilermakers. Press Association—Copyright. Auckland, March 22. Considerable unrest exists among boilermakers at thfe Otahuhu workshops QVing, it is learned, to a departmental reorganisation of the work and staffing. The men have considered the matter'•at several meetings, but no action has been decided. It was st'ated by the workshops manager this morning that a new scheme came into operation to day and that everything was going smoothly. It was stated by the men that the boilermakers, who had been employed on operating machines, would, under the new system, be transferred to other work, and men who were classified as labourers would be employed in their stead. The artisans contend that this would be a breach of craft observance and tantamount co an infringement of union standards classifying workmen.
