Wealthy Husband Sued. The Austrian High Court has jlieL decided that the v.'ife of a rich industrial magnate is entitled- to pocket money amounting o 1200 schillings a month, or about £46. When it came before the High Court, the husband’s counsel showed that the manufacturer gave his wife about £l5OO for household expenses, kept motor cars for her, paid all hfer expensive holidays and journeys; bought boxes for her in the theatres, only refusing to give her any ready money. The wife, however, said that a, woman of society must have some eash at her disposal, for otherwise she could not even pay for a taxi.
