RECORD LOWERED.

Taranaki Man’s Feat. Dunedin, March 10. At the Otago University swimming’ championships to-night, J. c. W. Davies lowered the Otago record in the 220 yards breaststroke, held by R. Geddes, by three seconds, his time being 3m 10 s. This will not be recognised as the Otago record, as it was not an official Otago championship meeting. Davies, who comes from Taranaki, won comfortably.
