Co-ordination In Australia. Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, March 10. It was announced to-day that Quantae, Empire Airways Limited. Airlines of Australia and Australian National Airways have computed an agreement “for <the co-ordination of all the major air services in the Commonwealth.”
The spokesman of one company states that the basis of the agreement is "an association of interests,” but no merger.
The Minister of Defence, Sir Archdale Parkhill. said the Commonwealth Government was opposed to anything In the way of monopolies' on the part of commercial aviation. The Government considered that free competition was best for all concerned.
