W.D.F.U. NOTES.

Northern Provincial Executive Meets. The quarterly, meeting of the W.D.F.U. was held last month. Delegates from 16 branches were present. Mrs Parker presided. Apologies were received from Mesdames Blyde and King. A letter was received from headquarters asking if v<’e could emiploy a woman in our executive as a dressmaker but the members decided that nothing could be done in this matter at present. Mesdam<s Parker, ’ McPhillips, Findlay and Wilkinson were appointed delegates to the 1937 Girls’ Education Week meeting. It was- decided to hold a combined court this y.ear at the winder show instead of separate courts and a committee of five-was appointed to take full charge of the matter. Several accounts were passed for payment. Mrs Baker then gave a very interesting report on the housekeeping work done in our executive during the last three months. Employment had been found for 12 housekeepers, who had all proved satisfactory. As the housekeeping’ scheme has grown so big a committee of three*, comprising Mesdames Parker, Findlay and McPhilli.ps, wac appointed to help Mrs Baker in her work. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mrs Baker at the conclusion of her report.
