Marrow Chutney. Take 31b marrow, peel and remove the pips, and cut in small pieces. Sprinkle lavishly with salt and leave until next day. Then drain, put into a saucepan and add l£lb small chopped apples, l]lb onions, Jib brown, sugar,4oz sultanas, pints vinegar. Boil for 20 minutes. Then mix 2oz mustard and loz tumeric with | pint of vinegar and add to contents of saucepan. Boil for 10 minutes, stirring the whole time. Bottle and seal carefully.
