Apple and Raisin Roll Make a dough by mixing together ; Boz of flour with baking powder and 4oz of shredded suet with a pinch of ' salt, a dessertspoonful of sugar and a little cold Water. Keep the dough stiff enough to roll out easily. Roll j it out into an oblong, then spread with 2oz of creamed butter. Chop ' together three sour apples, a cupful of stoned raisins and half a cupful of ‘ currants. Add the grattd rind of a lemon, a teaspoonful of kmon juice, a dessertspoonful of melted butter and a pinch of nutmeg. Spread this ■ mixture over the dough, roll up and i mokten,’ and fasten the edges. The I roll can be put into a 21b jam jar and steamed for two hours and a-half, or it can be tied in a scalded and floured ■ cloth and boiled for two hours. i
