Colleen Gain, is to be stepped out first at Opunake on Saturday. * * * If he had not hung so badly on the second day, Gironde would probably have been a double winner at Woodville. He is likely to be useful, if no Ben Braggie. * * * Southern Blood lacks the energy he infused into his races a short time ago, and on Woodville running it is not eaey to envisage his winning a maiden race in the near future. He should, however, come later on. * * * Vienna, a half-sister by Gainscourt to Ex Dono, produced a lot of speed for two-thirds of the trip at Woodville on Monday, and very little improvement might find her on the winners’ list by Easter. * * * Master Limond has been sent out for a tpell, says a Hawera report.
