Mr. Savage On Financial Problems. Press Association—Copyright. Dunedin, Last Night. Touching on financial matters when speaking at the Chamber of Commerce luncheon yesterday, the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, said: “If we get service und°r reasonable conditions, there will be no Interference. There if room for us -all, and it is simply a matter of coming to a common-sense understanding. No doubt w.e will tre’d on someone's toes, but things have to be put on a proper working basis. “I’m not a banker- and there is not one in the party—but I have made a close and long study of fundamentals, and I’ll see the precipice as soon as anyone. We have a responsibility to everyone. Does anyone suggest we are not going to consider very seriously any matter on which we intend to legislate?’’ he askeci. “My honour is at stake as well as your interests, and I am not going to sacrifice you or my honour in anything I do.”
