Not content with being one ot three women among the University of Pittsburgh's 700 engineering students, Miss Lok' Joyce plans to win the M.D. degree and combine medicine With engineering. , * * * Attractive, auburn-haired Miss Marie Grott, who has found a thrill and a career in matching wits with outlaws —she it l head of Indiana's criminal identification bureau—would put women into the front lines of the United States’ war on crime. ‘‘Women can win the fight,” she said. “Chasing criminals is not exclusively a man’s' job.” Miss Grott is 33. * * * Said Sir Walter Gilbey at the Sliver Fox Breeders’ Association at the Agricultural Hall, London:—‘‘There are two things a woman hates. One is a man about the house; the otßer is to listen to a man speaking unless he is speaking about her."
