Prosecution Taken Against

Officials.

Received 12.30 p.m. According to the political correspondent of the Daily Herald, prosecutions are being started against tlx MrMons including pit arising frem the Gresford Colliery disaster. This dis ster occurred in September 1934, and in it 265 wer killed. The Socialists in the House of Commons have asked for a debate on the report of the court of inquiry which investigated the disaster. The report sharply criticised the management, Government inspectors, union officials and workmen for th© “omission of precautions which might have prevented the disabler.” One member of the court urged legal proceedings against those he deemed responsible.
