STRATFORD SWIMMERS
At New Plymouth Surf Club Carnival A number of Stratford Swimmers were- competitors, at the Taranaki. Surf Association’s carnival at New Plymouth, last night, which was made notable by the pr; sence of the Australian surf team swimmers, several of whom, were in top form and made exceptionally fast times. .J. Ryan and A. Robson, Stratford, won their heats in the men’s 50yds event and Robson v'as second in the semi-fiial of this event. Ryan won the 100yds. medly and Pettigrew was second in the first heat of the 100yds. men’s event.
