Mr. J. 11. Cowan, of the Stratford Railway staff. is s.riously ill in hospital at Palmerston North. Mr. A. E. Sayers, Borough Inspector, resumed duty to-day after hit'annual leave. Sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr A. G. Thorne was expressed at to-day's meeting of the Stratford Jersey Cattle Club. Sympathy, was also expressed with Mr and Mrs E. Bennett, Ohaupo, in the loss of their son.
