VALUABLE TRADE.
Dairy Produce for West of England.
The remarkable development in New Zealand’s dairy produce trade with West of England ports was referred to by Mr T. E. Woodcock, shipping officer for the Primary Products Marketing Department, in an address to dairy-factory managers and directors in Wellington yesterday.
Mr Woodcock said that a few years ago this trade was practically unheard of so far as New Zealand dairy produce was concerned. Its development had been remarkable. Instruc-. tipns received from Home were that 1,750,000 boxes of butter and 300,000 crates of cheese would be required out of this season’s production for West Coast of England ports. For the six months ended January shipments to West of England ports showed an increase of over 6000 tons over those for the corresponding period of last year.
