NEW AIR SERVICE.
West Coast Now Linked With Wellington. Wellington, To-day. The West Coast of the South Island will be linked with Wellington by air as from Tuesday next, when' the service of Cook Strait Airways Ltd., which at present serves Wellington, Blenheim and Nelson, will be extended to Greymouth and Hokitika. This new service will be a three-' days-a-week one and is to run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; It will leave Nelson for Hokitika at 8 a.m., leaving Hokitika for the return at 10.30 a.m., enabling passengers to reach Wellington by 2.15 p.m. by connecting with another plane at Nelson. At Hokitika the service will connect with that operated over South Westland by Air Travel (N.Z.) Ltd., so that it will soon be possible to travel by regular air service from Wellington to Franz Josef Glacier, Fox Glacier and Haast.
