British Official Wireless. Received noon. Rugby, February 16. A statement relating to defence expenditure Has been Issued as a White Paper. It statea that the probable level of expenditure over the next two or three yeara will be very much heavier than In the current year. It Is not at present possible to determine what will be the peak year of defence expenditure. The statement says that, deep, ly as they deplore the necessity for this vast expenditure on armaments and other defensive measures, His Majesty’s Government Is convinced that It must be undertaken.
