Visitor’s Impressions Of New Zealanders. In all his travels, which have taken him into practically every country in the world, Mr Marcus Smith has not met any people who appeal to him more than the Nev' Zealanders. Mr Smith is an English visitor'to Christchurch at present. He said that New Zealaiidefs did not have the bumptiousness of the Canadians, or the aggressiveness of the Australians. The New Zealand troops left a great reputation behind them in England, both as soldiers and as men. The English people regarded New Zealanders as being the most, I'o'yal of all the Dominions peoples and had a high regard for them. It was the fishing that had brought him to New Zealand, said Mr Smith. His son, Mr J. M. Smith, was -the instructor to the Southland Aero Club, and he had not seen him for eight years. This was not his first visit to New Zealand. He 'Wa,s here 30 years ago, and again some yeftrs later.
