AUSTRALIAN NAVY
NO COMPLAINTS.
ACTS OF SABOTAGE. Naval Board Dealing With Cases. Press Association—Copyright. Received 11.45 a.m. Sydney, To-day. The Federal Minister of Defence, Sir Archdale Parkhill, states that no complaints from the Navy are at present before the Naval Board, but full inquiries are being made into cases of damage to naval equipment, which the Board considered were the acts of some individual or some unbalanced and aggrieved persons.
The great majority of naval men entirely disagreed with these acts, and there was nothing in any suggestion that such acts were the traditional method of showing discontent. He did not consider the establishment of any special form of inquiry unless it were shown that the Naval Board was not adequate to deal with the complaints and unless definite and specific complaints were received from the men themselves.
