HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT.

Reports To To-day’s Meeting

Of Board.

The Stratford Hospital Board met this morning. Those present were Messrs T. R. Anderson (chairman), M. Gernhoefer, H. J. Marchant, N. H. Moss and Mrs D. Shannon.

Reporting for the month of January Dr. W. Brown, medical superintendent, advised that the number of patients admitted was 55, discharged 55, died 1, remaining in hospital 27, outpatients' attended 82, admissions to maternity ward 10, births 9, visits to ante-natal clinic 47.

The Matron (Mrs J. Hunt) reported that Sister P. Reinhardt commenced annual leave on January 21. Nurse Brown commenced annual leave on February 9. Nurse Benfell desired to have three months leave of absence before commencing her maternity training. The Whangamomona District Nurse, Sitter E. Robertson, reported that 34 patients had been attended to during January, ths number of visits totalling 101. A report on routine v'ork was submitted by the gardener, Mr M. Priest.
