M.L.C., left by ths express this morning for Wellington to attend a conference of Dominion hardware dealers. Mr T. G. Richardson, Stratford, was appointed by the Stratford Borough Council last night to fill the junior vacancy in the borough office caused by Mr B. M. Wilmshurst’s appointment as town clerk at Upper Hutt. There were 66 aplicants.
