Mrs. N. H. Moss is at present spending a holiday at Ngamotu Beach.

Miss M. Burmester is visiting Auck land.

Mrs. G. Fredric, Brecon Road, left for Wellington on Friday morning.

Miss Cahill, Oama.ru, is the guest of Mrs. M. McDonald, Nash Road.

Miss Margaret Wheelan, Wellington, is staying with her sister, Mrs D. J. Malone.

Mrs. Looney, New Plymouth, is at present staying with her sister, Mrs. W. Curd, Regan Street.

Mr and Mrs A. E. Cahill returned on Thursday from their honeymoon spent in the South. * * *

Mrs H. Dickinson and family, Regan Street, have returned from their beach cottage at Oakura.

Mr and Mrs. T. Kirkwood are holi-day-making in the Marlborough Sounds.

Miss A. Uniacke is at present spending a few weeks with her people prior to returning to North Canterbury.

Mrs. Rutherfurd, senr., who has been the guest of her daughtep-in-law, Mrs E. S. Rutherfurd, Pembroke Road, left for her home in Wanganui.

Mrs. Murphy, who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. A. G. McKenzie, Ariel Street, has returned to her home in the Wellington district.

Dr. Doris Gordon was a bridge hostess on Thursday night. ’She had beautiful dahlias decoratitng her drawing-room. She was wearing a brown figured marocain.

Mrs. W. J. Spence entertained some friends on Friday afternoon at bridge. She received them in a becoming black crepe de chine gown. She had large bowls of hydrangeas. Those present were: Mesdames A. Coleman, L. Jardine, F. D. Jefferies, D. R. McLean, J. B. Cresswell, A. W. Budge and A. O. Hugo.

Quite an number of racing enthusiasts went to Hawera on Thursday. They included Mr and Mrs. R. Fryday, Mr and Mrs L. Coldwell, Mr and Mrs A. H. R. Amess, Mr and Mrs H. D. Vickers, Mr and Mrs M. McDonald, Mr and Mrs J. McDonald, Mesdames W. H. Simons, Curd, Looney, A. W. Budge, E. J. Hill, P. Harrison, Bennett, A. Coleman, E. Buist, the Misses J. Hill, M. Curd, A. Kirkwood. M. Whittle.
