Seaman Remanded For Sentence.

The trial of the American .seaman, James. 1 Gannon, on a charge of attempted murder and on alternative charges arising from an affray on tide steaimer Golden Gate at Auckland, on October 28, has been concluded in the Supreme Court. The accused was found guilt) of assaillt to as to cause actual bodily harm. The evidence showed that an alter cation occurred and that Gannon struck a fellow-seaman. He then dropped the other man from the top of a stack of timber, to. the. hatch. The injured man was in a criical condition for some days. Gannon was remanded for sentence
