SCIENTISTS’ WORK. SECRET TESTS. Experiments At Cambridge University. Press Association—Copyright. (Received 11.40 London, February 8. The Daily Herald and the Daily Mirror give detailed accounts of some two years secret tests carried out by a dozen scientists in a room in the Bio Chemical Laboratory, Cambridge,, where sealed windows and chimneys revealed that deadly gases cannot be kept out even if wearers of gas masks in the room were susceptible to their influence. The Daily Mirror quotes Professsor Marrack, the famous pathologist, who said: *‘l am surprised that these secret tests leaked out. Apparently thie gases cannot be excluded and gas masiks are useless when worn for a long time.”
