Stratford Wins In Match At Manaia. St. Mary’s Tennis Club, Stratford, defeated St. Patrick’s club, Manaia, by 14 sets, 112 games ,to 10 sets, 107 games, at Manaia at the week-end. Details are, St. Patrick’s players being mentioned first: Men’s singles: J. Duncan beat Father Kavanagh, 6-2, R. Duncan beat C. Mangan 6-3, W. Edwards beat R. Death 6-2, M. Titchener lost to J. Bowler 4-6, B. Christie beat W. Foley 6-1, E. Burke beat W. Rae 6-3. Women’s singles: Mrs. Titchener lost to Miss M. Walsh 4-6, Miss I. Gopperth beat Mrs Beattie 6-1, Miss J. Wells lost to Miss B. Bulman 3-6, Miss R. Sutton beat Mrs Death 6-2, Miss B. Burke lost to Miss P. Dwyer 2-6. Men’s doubles: J. and R.
