Mr Win. Fastier returned to Christchurch this morning after a visit to his parents, Mr and Mrs Walter Fas tier. Mrs Lyn. Wood, of Timaru, and her mother, Mrs J. Sheahan, of Auckland, are staying with Mrs B. Gardiner, Broadway South. Mr T. P. Vinsen, general manager of Columbia Pictures for. New Zealand, spent the week-end at Stratford with his brother, Mr Bert Vinsen. Mr A. B. Brown, of Cordelia Street, Stratford, is at. present, an inmate of the Stratford Hospital, and is reported to be making good progress after a i. cent operation. Guests at the Hotel Stratford at the week-end were: —Mr. Dawson (Wellington), Mr. Bussell (Auckland), Mr. Johansen (Wellington), Mr. Proctor (England), Mr and Mrs Borelim (Auckland), Mr and Mrs Locke (Auckland), Mr. R.
