Germany’s Naval Programme Under Way. Press Association—Copyright. Hamburg, February 7. The first 10,000-ton cruiser to be built under the naval agreement with Britain was launched to-day and named Admiral Hipper. Its armament includes eight eight-inch guns. The National Zcitung announces that the Admiral Hipper is the first of three heavy 10,000-ton. cruisers. They are constructed on the lines of modern foreign cruisers and will fill a serious gap in the' German navy, to which they will supply an absolutely new weapon.
