DOMESTIC CASES BILL
HOUSE OF COMMONS.
PRIVATE BILL.
Domestic Matters Not For Criminal Court.
Press Association—Copyright. Received 11 a.m.
London, February 4.
The House of Commons, without a division, passed the second reading of Mr. Fetherick’s private Bill requiring domestic cases to be heard separately from criminal cases and making the reporting of them closely in accordance with the 1926 Act governing divorce cases, so that women will not be restrained from speaking out. The seconder, Mr. Rathbone, emphasised that the Bill’s aim was to make domestic conciliation easier.
