Tyrer. . i The nurses reports for December and January stated: Number of children under 5 years under supervision 140, 141; under 2 years' 290, 292. Visits to homes, Stratford 122, 100; Eltham, 53, 43; total 175, IT3. Visits to rooms, adults 164, 156; badies 160, 151; children 51, 37; total 375. 374. New cases for the month, Stratford 9, 10; Eltham, 4,5; total 13, 15. December and January have been fairly busj r months although the number of visits to the rooms are somewhat lower, this is due to the fact that mothers 1 are not bringing their children into the town but are ring ing instead. The correspondence this month from mothers asking for advice and preparation every week of their record books themselves, show that the country mothers appreciate the Society’s help. Sub-committees were appointed to take charge of arrangements in connection with a “Hoop-la” stall at the forthcoming Autumn show, the renovating of the rooms, and the painting of the building. The. following donations were acknowledged by the committee: Mesdames Smith,’ Cleland, Green Snr., Vickers, Wheeler, Chainey, Saunders, Aldridge, Worthington, Hailwood, Saltzberger, Crawford. Moss, Martin, Hugo, Miss Wilson 5/- each; Mrs L.
