(Reporting on marriage loans between August. 1933, and January 30, 1937, Herr Reinhardt, Under-Secre-tary of Findrice, says 700,000 were granted, amounting to a total Sum of £35,003,000. The result of the loans' has been the birth of 500,000 children. The birth rate among those' to whom loans welje granted was relatively twice as high as that asso elated With couples who married bn their own resoivrces. Herr Reinhardt adds that the policy will be continued as long as there are any women wage-earners of marriageable age left in Germany.
