A survey showed that at Dunedin, the only place where the disease had ever attained really epidemic proportions, the outbreak had subsided. Both at Dunedin and at other places sporadic cases were still occurring and doubtless would continue for many weeks. Two more positive cases and three suspected cases have been admitted to Cahterlbury hospitals but only susIfclctte are from ChrJstchuTch.' Two positive cases are in South Canterbury. A boy aged' three years from StudWolme Junction has been admitted to the Waiinate hospital with slight paralysis and a girl of nine has been admitted to the Timaru hospital from the town area. Of the three suspects at Christchurch one admitted last evening, a girl of 19 years, is still doubtful but the other two will almost certainly- prove negaive. No cases were admitted to hospital at Dunedin to-day.
