VOLUNTEER TRAINING

Year’s Work Commences At Stratford.

Volunteer territorial training commenced for the year in Central Taranaki last week, with parades at Auroa. Kapouga, Tariki and Stratford. Parades at Stratford, the first of which was held on Thursday last, will be held weekly until the annual camp at Waverley. The advance parly will go into camp on February 22 aiid officers and n.c.o’s. on February 24, and the main camp will be from February 27 to March 6. The Stratford strength is at present 2". During the year 19 were transferred and of those none were dischaffet.d for non-attenda(n(ce at parades.
