GRAIN AND PRODUCE.
I Auckland Markets Firm. Press Association —Copyright. Auckland, February 2. I There has been little change in the jg in and produce markets since the j last review. All lines are firm in i price and some are in very short supply. There is no improvement in the | maizi position. I Tn recent seasons plentiful supplies I of Australian barley at comparatively ’ow rates have been very welcome in helping to make up an occasional s< arcity in other vereals. This source, uowever, is unlikely to be available during the present year. Stocks on hood are being sold at unchanged rates. i Wheat values are steady at 6/10 I per bushel, but here also the position unsatisfactory from the point of j view of merchants, who can only buy -ro.ii hand to mouth, as they are daily ' exp -cting an announcement as to the Government policy and prices in rej gard to 'lie marketing of fowl wheat. The pollard position is unchanged. ' Bran, at £6/15/- per ton, ex store, | is v irtually the only line that is plen- | tiful and available at a moderate I price.
