NO FURTHER MOVE.
Germany Not Likely To Make
Claim Just Now.
Press Association—Copyright. Received 1.30 p.m. London, February 2.
Whitehall is unable to confirm the reports that Herr von Ribbentrop, German Ambassador, is bringing to London on Wednesday a memorandum stating Germany’s case for the return of her colonies. On the contrary, -no further move is expected from Germany in the immediate future, though it is recognised that surprise is now the important tactical move in German policy.
The Dominions will be fully consulted in the event of German approaches. It* is recognised that they are vitally concerned in any decision likely to be made.
