Of License.
Cancellation of ,his license l for two years and a fine of £2O was imposed on Gordon Mors®, Jbajrman, Tardki, (when jhe .appeared in the Stratford Magistrate’s Court this morning beforje Mr W. H. Woodward, S.M., (to answer a charge of being intoxicated while in chargie of ta motor car. in Cordelia Street on January 26.
Mr N. H. Moss appeared for defendant, who pleaded guilty. Sergeant Anniss said that at 5.50 p.m. the police were called to Cordelia Street. They found defendant sitting m the car in a state of intoxication. At first he refused to get out, and some difficulty was encountered in getting him out - of the car. Dr. Steven examined defendant and certified that he was drunk. The car was driven down Fenton Street ,and when turning into Cordelia 1 Stifhet it capsized and skidded on the hood for 40 feet. Mr Moss' said the case was a borderline one. Had not the accident happened, Morse won KI h,a v p If'en able to drive the car hmire.. The defendant regretted very much the position in wTiich he was placed. Counsel asked that a term of imprisonment be not imposed. “It is. a fairly serious case,” sa’id Mr Woodward, in fining defendant £2O and cancelling his license for two years.
