WIN FOR LOUIS.

Pastor Defeated On Points At New York. Press Association—Copyright. New York, January 29. Joe Louis defeated Bob Pastor on points over ten rounds, the verdict of two judges and the referee being unanimous. Pastor, who was obviously hoping only to stay the ten rounds, maintained an almost constant retreat in the face of hard hitting and his rival’s advances. Louis tried to make a fight of it but found the task impossible. Pastor could be credited with the second round only. Louis clearly earned the other nine, but the spectators were hoping Pastor would win by a miracle and booed the decision. The crowd numbered more than 19,000 and the receipts were in excess of £20,000.
