i ° I The Inglewood rink skipped by F. ! Spurdie won the Taranaki Bowling Centre’s 1937 open tournament with the West End rink skipped by J. Christoff;! as runner-up for the second year in succession. In fife final of the pairs competition the Hawera pair skipped by Williams, defeated the New Plymouth pair skipped by Boon, by five points. ‘At the conclusion of play the trophies were presented by the president of the Taranaki Bowling Centre, Mr J. Lobb.
