Personal Pars
Mr. C. E. Scott, of Feilding, who was appointed Postmaster at Stratford, arrives to-night and will take over the duties of Postmaster as from to-morrow. The death occurred at St. Mary’s school, Stratford, on Thursday, of Miss Gertrude Blanche Beswick. She was born at Kaiapoi and was a daughter of the late Mr. J. S. Beswick a stipendiary magistrate at Timaru. The late Miss Beswick was engaged in the teaching profession for many years and she joined the staff of St. Mary’s in 1926.
