Vines Runs Out Winner In Latest Match. Press Association—Copyright. Richmond (Virgj, Jan. 27. i Ellsworth Vines defeated F. J. Perry 6—3., 3—6, 6—4 before a crowd of 3000, including the Governor. The American’s powerful game was under control, his smashing service and returns being too much for Perry, who played a steadier game but was unable to cope with tile power of Vines’ shots.
