Danish, 113/- ,i cwt.; choicest salted, Australian and New Zealand, 88/-; uncalled, 90/- to 91/-. The London butter market con t. uies to ease, prices for New Zea-, land and Australian since the end of last week having fallen a further 5/a cwt., while Danish has remained unchanged. The in-store position is not nearly so favourable as it was a year ago, the total quantity at the end of last week being 884,538 boxes, compared with 374,898 boxes. New Zealand and Australian butter does not appear to be going into consumption as rapidly as it was a year ago. New Zealand butter in store amounts to 5646 tons, compared with 2630 toils a year ago, aud Australian 4316 tons against 350. For the five months of the current season to the end of December, the total supplies landed in Great Britain from New Zealand and Australia decreased by over 11,500 tons, yet there are now 9962 tons in store, against 6980 tons a year ago.
