Foreign Nations Interested In U.S.A. Press Association —Copyright. Rugby. January 25. It was stated in reply Lo a Parliamentary question that the estimates recently compiled by the United States Department of Commere and the Treasury Department showed that at December 31, 1935, investments in the United States l»f Britain stood at £274,800,000, by France £56,400,000 and by Canada £21.000,000. Investments by Italy and Germany were not known separately. Between the date mentioned and September 30, 1936, an additional £17,200,000 had been invested by Britain, by France £4,200,000, and by Canada £3,200,000. Italy and Germany had on the balance sold securities to the value of £280,000 and £362,000 respectively in the latter period.
