Prisoners For Sentence At Wellington. Press Association—Copyright. * . Received 2.30 p.m. Wellington, To-day. Prisoners sentenced to-day by the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, were as follows:—• William Herbert Chapman, 56, en-gine-driver, for escaping from custody, was ordered to come up for sentence in six months if called upon. Arthur Alton Burd, 40, clerk, was charged with theft as a servant of the Public Trust Office, and was sentenced to two years’ reformative detention. Eruini Ti Kiwi, 21, motor mechanic, charged with breaking and entering and theft, was sentenced to four months’ hard labour. Leslie Brown, 26, labourer, charged with indecent assault on a female, was sentenced to 18 months’ reformative detention. Alfred Sidney Goodman. 30, waiter, charged with breaking and entering and theft; four charges of attempted breaking and entering with intent to commit a theft; and two charges of theft, was sentenced on each charge to three years’ hard labour, each sentence to be concurrent. Thomas Osler, 48, labourer, charged with breaking, entering and theft, was sentenced to two years’ probation. George Paterson. 53. clerk, charged with theft, was sentenced to 15 months’ reformative detention.
