INTOXICATION CHARGE

DRIVER OF CAR Vehicle Overturned In Cordelia Street. Gordon Morse, aged 27, barman at Tariki, appeared in the Stratford Police Court this morning before Mr H. C- North, J.P., on a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a motor car in Cordelia Street. Constable W. Rae said accused was arrested at 6 p.m. yesterday and an application for a demand until February 3 was granted. Bail was allowed on accused’s surety of £25 and a further surety of £25.

Morse w r as driving a car that fell on its side and he was subsequently arrested by Constable Rae and later w r as released on bail on a surety of £25.

A break-down van was required to tow the vehicle away from the intersection of Fenton Street and Cordelia Street, where the accident occurred.
