Buildings were greatly damaged and numerous fires resulted. . , A Valencia communique alleges that the German battleship Graf Spee appeared on the horizon at dawn and shortly afterwards four insurgent seaplanes appeared Sind dropped two load of bombs on the aerodrome at Roquetas, near Almeira. They later alighted alongside the Graf Spee, which hauled them aboard. The British consulate at Malaga is being closed because of the damage done by shelling.
