TAX REVISION.
Much Preparation Work Has Been Done. Press Association—Copyright. Wellington, Last Night. A complete revision oE the land and income tax legislation is proposed by the Government, and much preparatory work has already been done. Discussing the question to-day, the Hon. H. J. Savage, as acting-Minister of Finance, said the special committee'appointed by the Hon. W. Nash Eor this purpose had made good progress with its work. Mr Savage said that in view of the fact that the last consolidation ot this legislation was made in 1923 it was recognised that a complete revision was necessary, and there were existing anomalies which must M removed. The Government would be glad to receive representations from interested bodies and individuals which would help the committee in Its task. The Government was anxious to have the co-operation ot all persons concerned in order that the legislation to be introduced into the House next session should be satisfactory.
