Labour Deputation To Wait Upon Council.

Tho erection of houses for rental in Stratford was discussed at a general meeting of the Stratford branch of the New Zealand Labour Party last night and a sub-committee was set up to formulate a scheme. It was further decided that a deputation attend the next meeting of the Stratford Borough Council and submit details of the scheme. It was suggested that the maximum. rental for a house should not exceed £1 per and that wherever possible the rent be equivalent to one day’s wages of the tenant.
