Ten Best Dressed Women

THREE BRITISH ‘PLACES’ IN POLL OF PARIS DESIGNERS

Three British women are among the ten best-dressed women, according to a poll among famous Paris designers. They are the Hen. Mrs Reginald Fellowes, the Hon. Mrs Richard Norton and the Duchess of Leeds, who occupy second, sixth and ninth places respectively in the ballot. The others, in order of merit, are Mrs Harrison Williams, be 11 ora Martinez Hoz, the Begum Aga Khan, Baroness Eugene de Rothschild, Baroness von Krieger, Princess Charles Murat and Mrs David Balcom.

Among the runners-up were MisiMarlene Dietrich, Lady Mcudil, wiiu 01 Sir Charles Mendl, ot the British Embassy in Paris, the Countess ot War wick and Airs Byron Foys, daughter ol Mr Chrysler, the motor-car magnate. This ta'L, lark, slender woman, who divines her time between London and Pans, wears ihiefly autumn shades of orange, reds, peens and browns. Although very tiny in stature, the Duchess of Leeds achieves a sophisticated smartness in severe black clothes let off by luxurious silver fox furs. This year’s poll points to a return ,to limplicity in dress. Almost all the women named, as well as the runnersip, are known for their taste in sports slothes.
