Dispute Coming Before League Meeting. Press Association—Copyright. Received 1 p.m. Paris, Jan. 19. Hopes of a prior settlement of the French and Turkish dispute over Alexandretta have dissipated. It is now left to arbitration at the League meeting on January 21. France has rejected Turkey's latest proposals, which, it is understood, were the complete independence of Alexandretta or the autonomous confederation of Syria, Lebanon and Alexandretta.
