CORONATION EVENTS

OFFICIAL PROGRAMME APPROVED BY KING. Three Months Of Glorious Pageantry. Press Association—Copyright. London, January 16. That King George is to broadcast to the Empire on the evening of Coronation Day, as the Duke of Windsor had planned to do, is disclosed in the official programme of coronation events which the King has approved, as follows:

May 5 and 6: Royal Courts at Buckingham Palace,

May 10: Arrival of foreign envoys’ deputation and State banquet. May 11: Presentation of addresses and loyal greetings -by Premiers of the Dominions and representatives of India and the colonial Empire. Their Majesties will entertain at luncheon in Buckingham Palace British Commonwealth representatives. The Duke of Gloucester will give a dinner party.

May 12: Coronation and King’s broadcast to the Empire in the evening.

May 13: State banquet. May 14: The Foreign Secretary, Mr R. A. Eden, will give Their Majesties a dinner at the Foreign Office.

May 15: Reception for and departure of foreign envoys. May 19: Their Majesties will attend luncheon at the Guildhall, London.

May 20; The King reviews the

May 24, Empire Day: Their Majesties will attend a service at St. Paul’s Cathedral. May 25: The Prime Minister. Mr Stanley Baldwin, will give a dinner. Their Majesties will attend an evening reception by the London County Council.

May 28: King’s Levee. June 9: Official celebration of the King's birthday and trooping of the colours.

June 10 and 11: King's invesi

June 22: King’s Levee and garde party at Buckingham Palace. June 27: The King will review e:

servicemen. July 1: Royal Court. Their Majesties will visit Scotland. July 5 to 12: Visit to Wales. July 14 to 15: Final function. July 22: Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.
