I A transport plane carrying 13 persons, including Mr. and Mrs. Martin Johnson, the famous explorers, crashed in fog and rain on the mountains near Burbank. Rescuers report that one of the occupants is dead and the other 12 are injured. Mr. Johnson su-taimd a fractured skull and his right hip is broken. Mrs. Jdhnson suffered a broken leg and back injuries. Almost all the others suffered broken bones. The pilot explained that tht crash was due to freak conditions. There were so many voices giving radio weather reports that he would not det-ermine which was intended for him. Information has been difficult to obtain because the crash occurred in almost inaccessable country. A rescue party struggled over rugged, muddy hillsides through rain, snow and fog.
